2008 – Creation of Gestamp Wind and construction of our first wind farm.
2010 – 2015 Globalization process of the company (Brazil, USA, Puerto Rico, Poland, Belgium, Turkey and South Africa).
2016 – 2020 New Brand name from Gestamp Wind to Elawan Energy. International growth (Mexico, Colombia, France, Russia, Rumania, Ukraine and Argentina) sell assets and starting construction of photovoltaic plants. 714MW in operation. 420MW under construction.
2021 – Acquisition by ORIX. 3 GW aim in operation in 2025.
During years, Elawan Energy has looked for a sustainable and continuous growth. Its growth has been transform in new projects developments and construction. Nowadays we have more than 11GW in advance development and more than 2,2 GW constructed worldwide.
The future of the renewable energies is based on continues added value to society through the generation of green energy. To continue with it, it is necessary to continue innovating and looking for solutions such us hybrid projects, using different technologies to ensure a sustained production and hydrogen storage.
